essential Partners
Essential Coffee Company has partnered with two great charitable organizations who share the same passion and commitment in supporting our military and our frontline communities. ECC is a Proud Supporter & Partner of Wounded Warriors Canada, who we are pleased to announce is one of our official partners. Essential Coffee Company also proudly supports our partners, Boots On The Ground.
Through these collaborations, our goal is to boost mental health awareness within the military and emergency service communities, and provide the necessary assistance that our frontline service members and their families deserve. With every online purchase, Essential Coffee Company is dedicated to donating a portion of our profits to our charity partners.

ABOUT US

WWC programs support individuals, couples, spouses, surviving spouses, and children of those who serve or have served our country and communities.
Through its programs, Wounded Warriors Canada creates an environment of compassion, resiliency and hope for Canada’s Veterans, First Responders and their families.

Boots On the Ground
Boots on The Ground is a charitable organization completely run and staffed by volunteer First Responders. We offer 24/7 over the phone, anonymous peer support to Police, Fire, EMS, Corrections and Nurses throughout Ontario. This includes front line and civilian members, both serving and retired. We also offer a variety of vetted referral services when we speak to people in need of assistance.
We are an alternative to current wellness programs being offered through employers. We believe that these programs are under-utilized because of fears associated with social stigma and confidentiality issues. By keeping this completely separate from employee wellness programs our hope is that more people will utilize our available services. We offer a completely anonymous service when users call in so they do not have to worry about details of the conversation getting back to their workplace.
Boots On The Ground also has a psychologist funding program
available to callers. When a caller is in need of psychological
assistance and they do not have the financial means for this, BOTG will pay for their first five visits to see a clinician.
In September 2020, we launched our PTSD service dog program. Three lab puppies were paired with three First Responders with PTSD. They are now embarking on a two-year training journey together and the First Responders will have a fully trained PTSD service dog upon graduation. We recently added three more puppies to this program in November 2021.
Boots on The Ground has a therapy dog program as well. If you would like a visit from one of our amazing therapy dogs at your First Responder facility or you would like more information about our program call our peer support help line.
We also offer peer to peer group debriefs across the province. If your organization would like a group debrief after a critical incident, Boots On The Ground will send a team of trained volunteers out to you to facilitate this.
